2007 Business Hall of Fame Laureate
Diana Sole
Ms. Sole has been President of MotionMasters, Inc. since 1988, and prior to that, served as their Vice President and Executive Producer. Under her direction, the company has evolved from a film and video firm serving West Virginia clients to an award winning producer of educational media and documentaries that are distributed nationally.
In addition to leading MotionMasters, she served as the communications director and spokes person for the 1996 campaign of former WV Governor Cecil H. Underwood.
Ms. Sole’s communications and business skills led to her selection as editor of Capacity magazine, a publication of the Robert C. Byrd Institute that focuses on economic and business issues in WV, principally those affecting the manufacturing sector.
She is active in several community service organizations, including the Charleston area Alliance Board of Directors and the Charleston rotary Club Board of Directors.
In the past, Ms. Sole has been involved in the following community service organizations:
- Mountaineer Habitat for Humanity
- Co-Founder and Co-chair of the CAMC Foundation’s Children’s Fund Gala
- Vice President of the Board of Trustees of Christ Church United Methodist
- Co-General Coordinator of “Celebration Station”, Charleston Community Playground
Ms. Sole was the recipient of the State Journal’s “Who’s Who in West Virginia Business” award in 1997 and was the winner of a 2001 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.
She holds two degrees from Marshall University – a B.A. in Journalism and an M.B. A.
