Volunteers

Make a strong commitment to involve yourself in local community service. Junior Achievement of West Virginia, Inc. invites YOU to make a lifetime positive impact on 25 kids and their families. The only thing that will be asked of you is approximately six (6) hours of your time. Junior Achievement will provide the materials and training to conduct activities with the students during each of your five (5) visits to their class.

As you know, there is a dire need to address the issues plaguing West Virginia children. We have the lowest college attendance rate in the nation and nearly half of our children are labeled disadvantaged. Many of our children identify “school” as the only safe place in their lives and the only place where they receive any enrichment or observe positive adult role models. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lifetime impact on 25 local students and their families in 5 to 6 hours!

If teaching local students isn’t for you, Junior Achievement needs office and event volunteers as well as businesses providing in-kind services or supplies. Participating in any of these opportunities is a great way to improve the lives of local students!
